an investment decision: The evaluation of the company's product
/ technology, the management team, and the market potential.
Strong
Business Fundamentals - The opportunity should be in a large market
characterized by rapid, high-growth. We are willing to invest in
new markets but must be convinced the market has big upside potential.
We avoid “me-too” companies.
Strong , Qualified Management - A dedicated , experienced management
team with a high sense of urgency. We can assist the founders in
recruiting missing team members.
1. Product / Technology
ATVF
likes to invest in technologies that are considered "water
source" products. The concept of "water source" is
derived from the Western Land-Rush age. In a time of cutthroat competition,
the real fortune makers were those who owned the water sources --
a source that the people, cattle, and towns needed for their survival.
ATVF has the same idea. We invest in technologies that are so unique
that they are needed by other business concerns or by related industries
-- perhaps even by their competitors.
2. People
ATVF
must be confident that the management is in possession of a solid
balance between entrepreneurial and professional management skills.
They should be able, energetic, and have the burning desire to succeed
in the Internet marketplace. In addition to interviewing the team,
each key member will supply a list of references so we may get a
clear picture of the entrepreneur’s professional experience, character,
strengths, weaknesses, and track record.
3. Market
ATVF
must determine that a significant market opportunity exists. Once
the market opportunity is determined, it must be clear that the
company can become a sustained leader in this space. Whether the
target market currently exists or is potential, it must be significant
and expansive.

Exit Strategy - We focus our investment activities
on companies with a realistic opportunity for an eventual Initial
Public Offering. While some companies may be acquired prior to an
IPO, a path to liquidity for our investment within 4 to 6 years
is required.
Articulate Presentation - We
require a clear, concise, complete description of the business opportunity.
This can be submitted to us in the form of a white paper, Executive
Summary, or a fully developed business plan.
